We’re looking forward to working with our new client East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, as we provide project support for the service’s Communications Team and HR leads.
Often when we think of HR and Communications, we think of two separate functions within an organisation, one focused on internal matters, the other on external audiences. But more and more these two departments are working together within large organisations to promote a ‘brand identity’ – including how an organisation looks, what it says, how it behaves and performs.
By working closely with HR as an outsourced extension of an in-house communications team, we can support organisational development and staff communications through strategy development, copywriting, overseeing design, photography and video production.
ESFRS provides prevention, protection and response services to over 800,000 people within East Sussex and the City of Brighton & Hove. It has over 20 fire stations across the region, staffed by full-time and on-call firefighters, as well as crew, watch, station and group managers. Internal audiences served by HR and Communications also include training station staff, control centre operators and support staff. We are going to be kept busy!
